The twelve Finalists who are selected to be showcased at Eureka! will be flown to Wellington, hosted and accommodated by Rotary Club of Wellington members' families.
Each Finalist will be awarded NZ$1000 and a Sir Paul Callaghan Merit Award.
Two contestants will each receive a Sir Paul Callaghan Highly Commended Award plus an additional NZ$1500 - one each from among the secondary school Finalists and one from among the tertiary institution Finalists
The winning Finalist will receive the Sir Paul Callaghan Premier Award a trophy, and an additional cash grant of NZ$4,000.
Prizes may include internship offers from amongst the science and business community.
In November 2013, following Eureka!, the Finalists will be invited to participate in a day-long Science Futures Forum hosted by the Office of the Prime Minister's Science Advisory Committee and the Prime Minister's Chief Science Advisor, Sir Peter Gluckman.
